About the Jewellery

Inspiration

My jewellery has an earthy vibe. It is hugely inspired by nature and the natural world, the shapes and textures and feel. I love playing with combinations of materials and finishes to create contrasts and accentuate the elements of the materials used.

Crafting

I pride myself on the handcrafted nature of my jewellery. Every piece is hand cut and hand finished by me. I also make as many of my findings and components as I can including earring hooks and wires, clasps and jump rings.

Materials

I use a variety of materials to produce my jewellery - copper, brass, silver, leather, and semi precious gemstones. Chains and clasps are sterling silver or 14k gold filled.

I use salvaged materials where I can. Leather offcuts and left over metal sheet from other projects.

Earring Hooks

Earring hooks are the foundation of any earring. Your favourite earrings are no good to you if they make your ears sore.  Therefore all hooks and wires are handmade from sterling silver or 14k gold filled wire. Gold filled wire has 100x more gold alloy than gold plated jewellery. As the layer is so much thicker it won’t flake or rub off. If you can wear gold then you are likely to be fine with gold filled hooks. Any studs are stainless steel.
